Book progress

The time is flying until my new book hits the stands.  I have a big assignment to proof the proofreaders' and editors work and sign off on it...all before Monday evening.  But, with the cover (front and back) now complete along with the book's formatting, only a few weeks stand in front of a finished product. Stay tuned for ordering information in the next week or so.

What a cover! I wonder how many times I will think of that cover before I actually get my own book. Too many to count. Certainly as a runner the cover has special meaning, but it really makes me want to jump right into the book and start reading. It is certainly with great anticipation that I will attempt to be patient. I hate that you have to be couped up this weekend proofing the proofers work, but for my sake, work hard!!!

Have a wonderful run on the PL course. I noticed you signed up and was happy to see your name. I am now leaving work, heading home and then to Damascus, VA for a 9:00pm start of a 42 mile night and early morning run on the AT and Iron Mountain Trails. Have a great weekend and say hello to everyone for me. See you at Promise Land in two weeks.

Hope your run went great. That's a bunch of miles...but you are Iron Rick!

The run went great. We had a couple of hours of downtime waiting on runners to be sure they got to the half way point where they were stopping, which made us very cold. It was in the mid 20's Friday night. It was a beautifully clear night and the stars were out with just a little sliver of moon. Everyone had a great time and are looking forward to our next adventure. Beth wrote a great report on our blog.

I hope your run on the PL course went well. One month +/- to go! I can't wait.
